Rosie's Special Day.
Today was randomly designated Rosie's special day, for no reason other than simply because we love her.
It started out with chocolate donuts from the bakery that daddy went and got as soon as Rosie woke up. Those are her favorite!
Then she had a cheese stick and a bowl of yogurt because she said she needed something else to go with her sweets...
After that we had to wash her hair, which took an hour of hysteria...not a special part to the day. She hates anything to do with her hair.
Then we went to see Elmo Live! We had floor seats. My in-laws took us to see it.
Unfortunately they wouldn't let me bring in my camera because it was a professional camera. The arena said no professional cameras with zoom lenses, so I brought my camera with a wide angle lens...specifically not a zoom lens. However, the security people didn't seem to grasp the difference. I had to put three thousand dollars of camera and lens into the car, alone, for two hours, downtown. Be still my beating heart.
So no pictures during the show. :-(
I think the loud vibrations from the speaker system must have jolted the baby because though I couldn't feel specific kicks, I could feel pressure from him/her rolling all around in my belly. The baby kept pushing on my bladder, making me almost pee on myself, then I would stand up to go to the bathroom and suddenly not have to pee anymore.
Very funny baby!
At the show Rosie got to pick a t-shirt, a stuffed animal, and something to eat. She got a pink Abby Cadabby t-shirt, a Zoe doll, and popcorn. Tyler also bought her a ridiculously expensive balloon of Elmo's head, which is now lurking all over our house.
Rosie was excited to see Elmo, but after a little while the super loud sound and flashing lights overstimulated her and she just wanted to go home, so we left early.
I took a few pictures on the way home. The wide angle lens has a funny distorted effect because I was about 5 inches from Rosie's face, next to her in the back seat.

Did I mention she was a bit overstimulated by everything?

After the Elmo show my MIL gave Rosie a tutu to match Abby Cadabby and Zoe.
Rosie insisted on wearing it with her pants off, even though it's 55 degrees outside.

Rosie loved it. Just a little...

Rosie is the perfect combination...she loves girly things and she also loves mud, bugs, and animals.
She wanted to pose with our pumpkin, which I swear looks cool in the dark. Not so much in the day light.

Tyler carved it yesterday.

While I kept Rosie distracted from the sharp electric knife...

And if your retinas are not seared to shreds after viewing so many photos, here are three "last times" as Rosie would say.
Almost-15-weeks belly.

To end her special day Rosie is eating one of her favorites for supper: scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits with jam, and some applesauce with cinnamon.

love that last pic:)
What a fun day for Rosie! After all the excitement, I bet she slept well that night!
You have such a cute little family! And in a scant few months, it'll have even more love in it. So sweet. :)
Great fun and a good idea to have a special un-birthday day for your little one. My oldest gets to go with her grandparents to see Elmo Live in November. Unfortunately, I don't get to go. :(
